Foodex 2014 | Food and Drink Exhibition

This week, Birmingham has been a big trade spot for the food and drink processing, packing and logistics industries in an event hold at NEC: Foodex 2014.Nearly 350 exhibitors have presented their products and expertise in three days of event that is also co-located with Food & Drink Expo incorporating Farm Shop & Deli Live and the National Convenience Show.

Foodex has been a unique opportunity to debate, learn and also taste the innovations of the food sector, as well as businesses of all kinds and sizes were introduced to the public present in the exhibition.

Live events at Centre Stage has been a very popular in this year’s event for discussing challenges of manufacturing and logistics sector and important subjects related to the food and drink business such as the horse meat scandal and sustainable practices.

The talks had important guests like the former Cabinet Minister Michael Portillo, FDF (Food and Drink Federation) communication director Terry Jones; among others.
