Both Birminghams (Alabama and West Midlands one) looks very distinguished but the truth is they have a lot more in common than you may think.

To start with, their relation to industry development is quite similar. While the English one is considered the birthplace of Industrial Revolution, the American one made history into the industrial and railway transportation. Museums, festivals and plenty of art events are also part of both Birminghams features. And the cities also take the higher education very seriously with universities and colleges spoiled for choice.

Thinking about other differences about both cities, I have found this funny (but not sure about the veracity of facts) inforgraphic that compares the cities in different aspects. Let me know if you agree or not with the facts mentioned on it!
