Dr Adam Marshall, Executive Director of Policy comments on the announcement by the Prime Minister that a new fast track visa service will be offered to foreign tourists and business people.
Commenting on the announcement by the Prime Minister that a new fast track visa service will be offered to foreign tourists and business people, Adam Marshall, Executive Director of Policy at the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) said:
“Businesses who are trading internationally have been crying out for faster visa processing times so that their partners and investors can visit the UK easily and without lengthy delays. The extension of the 24 hour visa service is a step in the right direction, and proves that the government is listening to British businesses and is taking action on the barriers that prevent them from fulfilling their growth potential.
“The BCC’s Business Manifesto called for substantial improvement to the visa processing service to support companies’ investment opportunities. It is pleasing to see the Prime Minister responding to our calls, but we would urge the government to go even further and make fast-track business visas available in all countries around the world to show that Britain really is open for business.”
