Exfoliating body in a bar is something new to me. I had never tried it before until Dr. Botanicals sent me a Coconut Oil Rejuvenating Body Exfoliating Bar to test out this month.
The excitement of testing a new product started as soon as I unboxed this exfoliating bar. I loved the fact it comes in a 100% recyclable packaging. Simple and eco-friendly. It’s 100% vegan, so I knew I had cruelty free product in hands. It’s always a good sign.

Dr Botanicals is a London based brand that is pioneer not only in vegan skincare, but they also have developed natural skincare products since 2016 with no risk of environmental harm. Of course, I love all the concept and I was curious to know more about their products.
This coconut exfoliating bar promised to hydrate, cleanse and gently exfoliate the body while coconut oil moisturises the skin and creamy coconut aroma works to unwind your mind.
It can be used in the face, body and hands. Besides the coconut one, you can also find the bars on Bergamot & Poppy Seed, Bulgarian Rose Petal and Wild Raspberry & Lemon.
So, what is all the hype about it?
My first impression was having a product with a very smooth texture and its coconut aroma is extremely delicate. Not overwhelming. Just balanced. The way I like it. The way natural cleansing products usually work on your body. The smell may not last longer, but it is pleasant and efficient.
It produces enough foam when scrubbing and has an instantaneous smoothie effect after exfoliating the skin. Besides not being a cheap product (£29.00 per bar), it lasts longer than conventional exfoliating oils available in the market.
I didn’t feel a huge quantity of exfoliating beads on it, so it’s guaranteed no messy in the bathtub. Overall, a great product with a perfect concept behind it.
