Are you visiting Bournemouth and Poole with your family this summer? Here’s a list of a variety of festivals and events set against the backdrop of 10 miles of golden sandy beaches and breath-taking views.
The kick off the summer holidays was all about the ever-popular Summer Live, a free event for all ages located in Bournemouth Square. Browse the art, jewellery and confectionery stalls or enjoy the many free craft workshops and live art demonstrations.
On every Friday of this month, head down to Bournemouth Seafront to watch the spectacular Friday Fireworks.
New for this summer is the Bournemouth & Poole Selfie Wall Trail. Located along our stunning seafront, from Sandbanks to Southbourne, are 11 magnificent pieces of art created by various artists – the perfect backdrop for a fun selfie!
It is also recommended to use #loveselfiewalls with your photos as the best selfie will win a fantastic grand prize. More info here.
Elsewhere, under-the-stars cinema can be enjoyed at Corfe Castle during the August Bank Holiday weekend and at Lulworth Castle on the 15th and 16th August.
The marquee event of the year is of course the Bournemouth Air Festival, Thursday 30th August to Sunday 2nd September 2018.
This is Year 11 of the award winning and internationally renowned aviation event and festival goers can look forward to four memorable days of action and entertainment on land, at sea and in the air.
Demonstrating first-class aeronautical innovation and incredible technology, the record-breaking Gravity Jet Suit Display Team will be flying not one but TWO pilots across Bournemouth seafront at the UK’s largest aviation event later this month.
The Jet Suit is an extraordinary example of British innovation, which is not only entertaining, but will benefit society in a number of ways including in search and rescue efforts and tactical mobility.
