Essential tips to achieve a personal self-development

Working remotely requires motivation, discipline and quite a lot of willing to continually grow.

It doesn’t mean the size of your goals; it’s always important to work on yourself and to achieve a personal growth and self-development.

Charges are always welcoming if it’s helping your self-improvement. So, here is a list of small steps to achieve gradual transformations in your body, mind and soul.

#1 Be grateful

One of the keys of keeping a balanced life is feeling thankful every single day of your life. I have learnt to appreciate small and big achievements at the same way. We need to look at ourselves as winners every moment of our lives.

For bad to good days, there is always something to be grateful for. It’s a daily exercise, but it doesn’t require too much.

Maybe creating a gratitude jar can be the first step you need to start feeling the glass half full again.

#2 Embrace Uncomfortable Situations

What? You heard it. I’m wrong on this one. Being out of your comfort zone is still one of the most effective exercises to push yourself. I never forget the day my former English teacher, back in Brazil, suggested me to start teaching children to pay for my course.

I laughed at her that moment but took the chance. And a few days later I was stepping in a classroom full of hectic 5-year old kids for the first time in my life. It was terrifying in the beginning, but after a decade still teaching children, I can see the importance of that moment.

#3 Believe in Yourself

One of the most effective to unleash your potential is realising that you are unique and worth it. It doesn’t matter how difficult it’s to believe in yourself, it’s time to make a list of your unique abilities, qualities and achievements. Believe in yourself.

Or at least, look for a professional that can guide you in this process. As I mentioned before in the blog, there are plenty of NLP trainers that can help you in this task. The results will come as soon as you expect.

4# Set small goals for big results

What is your aim in life? I don’t know you, but I have lots of goals to achieve. I am not going to lie. Are they achievable? Perhaps. They only thing I know is expectations make my anxiety escalates. I need to be careful.

On the other hands, setting small goals can bring big results to your personal self-development.

One example of this –  I’m challenging myself in the treadmill now. Every single day I set a distance and speed to be achieved.

It not only will improve my health, but also contributes to my wellness. Massively. I do feel better every time I finish my work out for the day. It does not depend on anyone else, but me. So, I deal with it.

Now I am trying to do something similar about my reading habits. Reading is challenging when you have lots of different tasks during the day. I know. But it would be great to gradually read more books a year. I am working on it. Remember- stick to small steps and don’t be harsh to yourself.
