73 Things About Me |A Blogger’s Version of Vogue’s 73 Questions

I’m not the one who joins tag posts or likes talking about myself. But I was inspired by some marvellous blogger over there to answer 73 Vogue style questions, so I thought I would share my answers with you all. Thanks, Sarah Lyon  – Champagne  & Petals – for tagging me in this one. 😊

1-What is your usual Starbucks order?

Believe it or not, I just had Starbucks once, and it was on a flight in which the only coffee option they had was this one. I still prefer any amazing local coffee shops from Brum over it.

2-What does your workstation look like right now?

I have two workstations. The tidy one – where I usually teach online and there are lots of props and English books. And the messy one – where I sit comfortably on the floor in front of the TV, and I  usually work on my blog and watch YouTube videos.

3- All-time favourite food?

I could say Brazilian, but I also love Japanese, Indian and Syrian food. I know, I’m a proper multicultural foodie.

4-Favourite author?

Wow, that’s a hard one. I read lots of people but I would go with a Brazilian one: Clarice Lispector.

5-What do you think of open relationships?

It’s not for me. I’m a happily married woman and I can say there is nothing better than being in love with the same person for 15 years now.

6-Favourite video game? 

That’s a tricky one. I bloody love playing video games, and I am definitely a GTA kind of person. I also love a good challenge as well like The Last of Us.

7- Guilty pleasure treat?

Buying Chinese, Korean and Japanese stationery. I just can’t help myself. ☹

8- Favourite film?

With no doubt – The Royal Tenenbaums by Wes Anderson. I have even visited one of its film locations in New York. Surreal, to say the least.

9- Favourite book?

On The Road by Jack Kerouac

10-Twitter or Instagram?

Both

11-Desktop or laptop?

Laptop. Always.

12- The best advice you’ve ever received?

“Life is unfair. Enjoy the moments of fairness.”

13-What project are you working on right now?

I am learning Japanese and also my own making organic soap. I am also working on some freelance projects.

14-Favourite colour?

Purple. Who knows me better will confirm it.

15-Did you get good grades at school?

Only in English and Portuguese. I was terrible at anything else.

16-Dream job?

I don’t like routine and I change mine all the time. So, I am aiming to be a travel writer 24/7. But I also would be happy to be a professional dancer working with Justin Bieber. Seriously. I love dancing! And travelling.

17- Played any sports?

Nope. But I used to practice kickboxing.

18- Do you have a degree?

Yes. I have a BA in journalism.

19- Nationality?

Brazilian with dual citizenship (British).

20- What is your favourite kind of blog post to do?

The travel notes. I love writing about places I have visited.

21- What do you like to collect?

Kokeshi dolls, snow globes and Japanese and Chinese stationery.

22- Describe yourself in 3 words?

Persistent, funny and caring.

23- If you were a rapper what would your rapper name be?

Wow. No idea, but maybe something related to Moluska.

24- Who was the last person you dmed?

It was people from the beauty brand Phoera Beaty.

25- What’s on the top of your wish list right now?

Making my blog my business.

26- Hogwarts House?

I’ve no clue. I’m not a Potterhead.

27- How many tattoos do you have?

I don’t have any, but I’ll make some.

28- What are you most grateful for this year?

My family and my lovely husband. They are my Wonderwall.

29- What’s the best thing that’s happened to you this month?

Losing some weight. That’s going according to the plan.

30- What’s the best thing that’s happened to you today?

It’s Friday. We can’t go wrong with a day like this. I am also  listening to some nice old school music

31- What’s the best thing ever?

Listening to music with my husband and spent quality time with my family in Brazil.

32- Favourite season?

Autumn.

33- Favourite holiday?

I like Easter because it’s in April, the month of my birthday.

34- Which fictional character do you relate to most?

I am happy to be any Tenenbaum.

35- Do you like surprises?

Hate them.

36- What’s the biggest surprise you ever got?

I don’t like them, but I guess it was when my husband bought me tickets to visit Brazil for the first time.

37- What’s a surprise that’s made you cry?

Seeing my nieces for the first time. Actually, it’s always a great surprise.

38-What’s the best surprise you’ve ever given anyone?

I like surprising my nieces with lovely toys. They are the cutest children on the planet and I like seeing their happiness and smiling.

39- Do you like muffins?

Yes. A little bit

40- Do you cook often?

I cook every day. Love it.

41- What’s your favourite dessert?

Cheesecake of some kind or anything related to chocolate.

42- Is there a dessert you don’t like?

I am not a fan of Christmas puddings or anything too sweet.

43- Cake or pie?

Cake.

44- What’s your least favourite food?

I don’t eat red meat. So, anything related.

45- What’s your favourite condiment?

Olive oil and garlic.

46- It’s 4 am on a Saturday night, what would you eat?

At the moment, my diet is based on good fat and lots of cheese.

47- If you could teach a college class what would it be called?

“Don’t worry, be happy. The art of doesn’t take yourself so seriously.”

48- best-animated film?

Difficult. I like Japanese anime, mainly Ghibli films. I am not a Disney fan, I’m afraid.

49- What had a guy done or said to impress you?

My husband impresses me every day with his sense of humour and in that he looks after me.

50- The Best thing to do on a first date?

My last first date was 15 years ago. But I would say meeting for a drink (or two) and having a laugh. That works!

51- The worst thing to do on a first date?

Cinema. Or any place where you need to be quiet for a while.

52- What’s the funniest pickup line a guy can use on a girl?

Just be yourself. It may work.

53- Best comic book character?

Wonder Woman is cool.

54- What are the three things that are always in your handbag?

Headphones, money and mirror.

55- Favourite drink?

Gin & Tonic, Port and red wine.

56- If you could play a historical character who would it be?

I would love to play any strong female. No specific picks.

57- Kittens or puppies?

Dogs in the past. Kittens nowadays.

58- Favourite sushi roll?

Californian hot rolls and temaki. Bloody love them!

59- What kind of lipstick do you use?

I love MAC ones. But I am not that keen on matte lipstick.

60- What kind of foundation do you use?

I am using Nars and Fenty beauty.

61- Blow-dry it airs dry?

Air dry. No patience for blow-drying.

62- Who is your fashion icon?

Audrey Hepburn.

None.

64- What are you doing tomorrow?

Meeting friends on a British barbecue.

65- Movie you laughed the hardest through?

Moving to America. Love it.

66- Movie that made you cry?

Lots. Contact is one of them. I always cry when I watch my favourite films.

67- If you could sing a duet with someone who would it be?

Beyoncé, of course.

68- If your life was a song what would the title be?

Difficult one. I would go with Little By Little – Noel Gallagher.

69- What’s your favourite animal?

Cats (and penguins).

70- Favourite illustrator?

Loads. But I do love a Brazilian artist called Malipi

71- Person you want to have coffee with?

Michelle Obama.

72- What’s a country you wish to visit?

Japan.

73- Best way to decompress?

Coffee.
