I don’t remember the last time since I have found a serum that could adapt to my sensitive skin. Every new skincare product I have has to be tested carefully. Then, I hope for the best. Otherwise, it will irritate my skin.
That’s the reason I usually go for natural skincare. No paraben, SLS, SLES or DEA for me. After all, Eco-beauty is what it better for our skins and the environment.
I love my skincare routine, and I try to keep it as neat as possible. However, I do confess that I was missing to add an effective serum to this list.
You know serums act like moisturise without necessary being one. They are perfect adds for a better cleansing routine.
This month I was introduced to some anti-ageing Nakin products: the Performance Face Serum (£25) and a Lip Treatment Balm(£10).
I was already familiar with Nakin skincare. It’s a cruelty-free UK brand with a range of vegan and vegetarian products using powerful natural ingredients such as pomegranate, hibiscus, seaweed, etc.
To start with, I absolutely love the fragrance. It’s true I am a huge fan of subtle scents and light aroma. So, hey, I am happy with this product.
It’s subtle and the smell so natural essential oils are meant to enhance your natural scent, anyway. Just what I need to relax after finishing a skin routine before going to bed.
It’s easy to apply in the skin and its creamy consistency makes it sit in the skin perfectly, keeping it toned and firm. It absorbs well and sinks into the skin, keeping an extra layer of protection. I just love it.
As one of the benefits of using serum is keeping your skin hydrated, I have used it daily to minimise pores and help my already sensitive and dry skin to relax and recover. I also tend to have acne and redness from time to time.
I have noticed that it has been minimised as well. Maybe it’s another benefit of adding a natural serum to your skincare regime?
Being at my 40’s, it’s also important to highlight that it’s time to say yeas to anti-ageing products like this.
This face serum contains:
- Hydrolysed hibiscus extract
- brings anti-wrinkle and correction to skin. It’s known as a natural skin corrector that helps smooth and ease facial lines on the forehead and around the mouth.
- Hyaluronic acid
- forms a permeable layer and penetrates the dermis to boost hydration and skin elasticity, helping to plump the face.
- Pomegranate
- helps to reverse skin damage caused by sun exposure.
- Green tea
- delivers powerful antioxidants to help prevent oxidation bought on by skin stressors.
- Rosemary Leaf Extract
- gives anti-glycation properties and promotes youthful-looking skin through its protection of collagen and elastin fibres.
Our lips are sensitive and need special care. Fortunately, I never had too many problems with split or cracked lips. But sometimes I can feel it gets a bit dry when the weather is colder.
Having a natural and quality lip balm around is always a great way of keeping your lips healthy.
And I definitely like to keep it part of my night routine too. The benefits of this natural lip balm come with the combination of ingredients like baobab oil, beeswax, and shea butter that keeps the skin moisturised and hydrated.
It last longer and it also has a subtle smell. This product also helps to rejuvenate the lips working as a conditioner to the skin. Sorted.
I am pleased with this product and I would recommend it. It’s not greasy, sticky or difficult to apply.
Nakin’s lip balm contains:
- Mint
- stimulates the circulation under the skin to plump and full lips.
- Baobab Oil
- delivers hydration and superb protection from the environment.
- Shea Butter
- a natural salve made of fats that provide healing and softening.
- Argan Kernel Oil
- provides skin protection, healing and soothing from the Triterpenoids that occur in it.
Does it work for me?
Overall, I am quite happy with these two products. Nakin has proven that Eco-beauty can provide anti-ageing skincare with expertise.
They are a little bit more pricey than average beauty products, but serums are normally expensive, anyway. Compared to other popular brands, this one is quite affordable.
I have been using them for nearly one month now and it seems they will last longer than I imagined. I love the packaging. It’s modern and elegant.
And I am ready to try other Nakin products such as their face moisturise and eye cream complex.
*I received these product complimentary from Nakin for testing purposes.
