Trying CBD Coffee for the First Time | Cheerful Buddha Review

Some people are still a bit judgemental to CBD products. To be honest, I have no idea why. You can always research more about the benefits of CBD oil in the treatment of chronic pains, epilepsy and it’s even used to treat depression and anxiety (hello!) nowadays. The benefits are numerous. So, what is the panic about?

Is it due to the fact that CBD (cannabidiol) is one of (over 100) chemical compounds of cannabis or marijuana plant? But a bit more of reading (which is always great, anyway), we can find out that to the contrary you may think, it doesn’t get you high.

The history of cannabis as a medical property is definitely not something new. And adding some CDB oil to your hot drink is already a trendy in many independent coffee shops in the country. But I believe that with coffee it’s taking the experience to another level.

It’s often consumed as food or health supplements, and I just heard that bullet coffees are much better when adding CBD oil on it. Nice. So, why not give it a try?

For most of the Brazilian citizens, like me, coffee. It’s exciting to be up to find out new tastes and blends. I am up to trying any kind of coffee types if it’s quality and well-sourced.

Last month, I was invited by the UK company’s Cheerful Buddha to try their Colombian Blend -Medium Roast – CBD coffee. It’s a 100 roasted coffee with 100mg of Hemp derived CBD.

I just want to highlight here that this kind of coffee is only a food supplement and it’s not intended to prevent or treat diseases.

Cheerful Buddha is a UK incorporated cannabis start-up that aims to present and bring the best in class to the CBD oil market to the UK and Europe. They offer 100% natural ingredients and all their hemp-derived CBD oil products are gluten-free, non-GMO, and lactose-free.

Some important recommendations before and when start consuming this product:

  • Do not take more than 100mg CBD per day (1 x packet).
  • Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool dry place.
  • This product is a Food Supplement and is not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent any disease.

How was the experience?

To start with, quite exciting! I love a nice Colombian blend and every. It’s definitely not the average coffee blend you find in the coffeehouse chains. I do love South American blend, it reminds me home. It reminds me the smell of the city centre in Santos, where we find fine coffee and even a museum dedicated to this special beverage.

I’m using my V60 dripper set that is perfect for making quality coffee. It looks like a hipster way of making coffee. It does. But I remember my parents using those methods when I was young. Plus, you can recycle the filter using as many time as possible.

I have tried this CBD coffee now for nearly a month in different times of the day. There is no THC on it or any psychoactive properties, of course. Meaning: I don’t get high. But I am usually trying it after my daily work shift in the afternoons.

It’s has given me a boost of energy to keep productive during the day. As I am drinking only a cup a day, it is a considerable low quantity of it anyway. It does also have a relaxing element, which is perfect when I am trying to chill after a busy day as well.

I didn’t see any major difference in my mood in the first days. But the first night after drinking it I had a better sleeping night. I can’t explain if it has something to do with the coffee itself.

As I heard it can be a good match for anxiety issues, I am working on it now; trying to bring CDB oil to my weekly routine. And if in the end of this package, I notice an improvement in my skin too, it will be definitely a plus.

Overall, I enjoy the taste of Cheerful Buddha coffee so far. It has the long lasting fragrance of a Colombian blend, and I am open to test what the properties of CBD oil brings to my body.

* I received this product complimentary from Cheerful Buddha for testing purposes.
