Christmas decoration, anyone?

Is it early to talk Christmas? I don’t think so. Christmas is coming and depending on how big your celebration is, it’s probably time to start plan your celebration. And of course, it includes how to decorate the house

Besides, it can be an excellent excuse to get into craft work and prepare the most creative Christmas decorations ever.

I confess that I usually go for Eco-friendly and simple ideas. Simple and effective. They’re usually easy to be done, and the whole family can get involved as well. Not to mention, craft-work

keeps everyone busy for many hours too.

We can make a beautiful decoration for the Christmas tree using only recyclable paper tubes, papers with different textures and even glasses. So, what about making some decorative candles? You can always use a beeswax candle. All we will need is a couple of candles in a jar or glass, some glass pen for drawing different patterns. And voila, you will have unique pieces in different colours. It’s creative and fun!

Board Game time!

Another popular option of entertainment at home is the good & old board game. Who doesn’t have the Scrabble or Monopoly boxes hidden somewhere in the cupboard? Board games are a temporal and it has been a leisure activity that bring families and friends together.

I have an annual meeting somewhere in the country with my husband’s family where we always play Scrabble and my twin nieces just found out that playing dominoes can be also fun.

Plus, any charity shop has plenty of board games options. It’s cheap, and it will be also easy to recycle because you can just give it back to the shops when you’re ready to move for other entertainment option.

Miming Games

There is nothing Eco-friendlier than a good miming game. All you need is a bit of creativity and some people willing to have no shame at all of make fool of themselves. Nothing else. Miming games can also involve friends and alcohol – which usually make people more creative. Or not.

If you’re playing with kids, make sure you have some sweets and other food treats. They’ll need to keep the energy up.

Let’s dance!

It probably won’t the most sustainable option of entertainment because you’ll need to use some electricity. But it certainly will be the healthier one!

There are plenty of You Tube channels out there with dance tutorials for beginners. I love dancing. And now and then I improve my steps in front of the TV. It’s an excellent way of getting fit as well. Besides, kids love to show off their new skills.
