Remember this Day | A Week to Celebrate All Things David Bowie

Yes, I know. The second week of January will not be the same since 2016 – when David Bowie left us. It was on this date, actually – January 10th – four years ago, two days after celebrating his 69th his birthday on January 8th. Mad, isn’t?

Despite being a sad day for most Bowie fans from all over the planet, it was also this day that we understood his legacy would last forever.

“I don’t know where I’m going from here, but I promise it won’t be boring.” – David Bowie

I remember hearing the news on the radio my way to work the radio, trying to understand why he has gone so young. Life is unfair, you know.

I never have seen or listened to such a complete artist before. I remember listening to Ziggy Stardust for the first time when I was quite young, and felt in love with his personality, style, and music instantly.

And wow, did you know that we are going to have two new Bowie’s records to be released this year?

I remember visiting Brixton, in London, a couple of months later after his death to check not only the famous area where he grows up, but also pay my homage to the greatest artist this country ever had.

“I had to resign myself, many years ago, that I’m not too articulate when it comes to explaining how I feel about things. But my music does it for me, it really does.” – David Bowie

I wasn’t the only one standing next to a mural created by the Australian artist Jimmy C.

The truth is Bowie is unique, and I don’t think no one else can achieve such an impressive career. I also had the amazing opportunity of walking around Bowie’s favourite places, such at the famous Cafe Reggio, in his former hometown New York in 2018.

But here we’re to celebrate David Bowie’s legacy in the great infographic found at CashLady to reminds us of some other important events happened today:
