Reusable bamboo cutlery is a great alternative to disposable cutlery. The Other Straw sells ethically handmade bamboo cutlery sets which include a bamboo fork, knife, spoon and cutlery bag.
Their bamboo cutlery set is easy to carry around and stylish, your Valentine will never need disposable plastic cutlery again!
The truth is plastic straws are no longer an option in your lives. They take thousands of years to break down and as not recycle product, they pollute oceans and causes an immense impact in our environment.

Perhaps a small achievement but I bought a metal water bottle that I use everywhere instead of plastic water bottles. I’m currently trying the ‘no-poo’ method, so will be getting rid of shampoo and conditioner plastic bottles soon too!
Our bug hotel made with kids
I use a metal refillable bottle everyday, at the moment I’m using it for cold drinks, but I’ve tried it with hot drinks for the cold months and it’s amazing!
I switched a bunch of my health and home products – I now use a shampoo/conitioner bar rather than bottles, a washing up bar, soapnuts for my laundry, bamboo toothbrush, toothbrush tablets etc
i no lomnger bbuy shampoo in bottles and have switched to solid bars
I have used a refillable coffee cup on journeys for many years, and used a refillable water bottle for at least 5 years. I never got into using shower gel and stuck with solid soap. Once my current stock of liquid shampoo and conditioner run out, I plan to start using solid versions instead.
Riding my home of disposable wipes – bamboo all the way now
I plan to make reuseable cosmetic wipes so I can stop using disposable wipes.
Growing our own fruit and veg
Got myself a refillable bottle for when I go out running
I use reusable feminine products and insulated bottles.
We have solar panels on our roof, we hardly use any electricity nowadays from the grid.
I’ve been buying lots of plastic alternative products and packaging
Same as others: lots of small steps such as banishing plastic bags and plastic bottles. Perhaps my best achievement is finding ways to use food that previously I would have disposed of. Broccoli and cauli stalks plus thick carrot peelings make a surprisingly good soup.
Switching to soap bars. Especially shampoo and conditioner bars. They are amazing and no plastic waste.
