Let’s be honest, scented candles can enhance in some many levels and ways. It was scientifically proven that candles can calm us and induce different feelings and emotions.
I have a quite strong connection with scents, aromas, and smells in general. I can relate special moments and memories according to the smells of perfumes, food and of course, scented candles. I guess everybody feels the same about pleasant aromas anyway.
This month, I was invited by Kindred Fires to review one of their candles, I was just over the moon. But that is not only because of the product. I quite loved the concept idea behind the business.
What are Kindred Fires?
The business based in Manchester is the home of beautifully personalised giftable candles.
The idea is offering a range of crafted candles that are customised according to costumers needs and thoughts. They are perfect treats to help us to take time out from our busy lives and relax when lighting our candles.
How does it work?
The candles will burn for up to 25 hours and you can personalise them for several special occasions such as weddings, graduations, birthdays, “thinking of you” ones, etc. You can also shop by recipient choosing the perfect gift for him or her.
After that, you just need to pick the favourite scent, fill the order with your personalised message and sender name. Smoothy, I know.
Every Kindred candle is hand-poured in their workshop in Manchester using soy wax, clean burn and fine essential oils.
They are beautifully packaged in plastic-free packaging. This brand knows how to gives a nice touch to their delivery service. The candles are housed in a beautiful glass jar.
Which one did I pick?
In difficult times like now when we all can’t be around of loved ones, the idea of gifting them (or yourself) with a meaningful candle is just an amazing idea. I just loved it!
As you all know, I am quite far away from my parents and my brother’s family now.
They live in Brazil and I was supposed to be visiting them this summer, as I always do annually. Of course, we weren’t counting on a global pandemic to change my plans suddenly.
I wanted to “make” a special candle to remember them every time I lit it. That’s the reason my pick was a “ Thinking of You” – Together in Spirit one in the tranquillity scent. After all, we’re all searching for a bit of peace now.

The combination of distinctive aromas brings a quite warm feeling and a soothing fragrance to your home. Peaceful indeed. I’m in love with this candle and my spare room smells wonderful.
