Welcome to Midlands Traveller!
That’s me, Simone Ribeiro. I’m a Brazilian (now also a British citizen. Yay!) living in the UK since 2011. I’m a freelance writer/journalist, also working as an English and Portuguese teacher. I know – totally multitask! I live in Birmingham with my husband Rob Dann Read how we have met here. – the one responsible for many photos published in this blog – and beloved (fussy) cat Dougal.
I love travelling, listening to music, tracking new footpaths in the countryside and cooking.
It’s on Midlands Traveller that I have published most of my stuff, but you can also find my articles on Weekend Notes, Sounds and Colours, EazyCity blog, among other online publications. You can also find me at my new blog – Eco Gaia Wanderer.
