ACE UK announced today that it has appointed Printwaste as the new contractor for its beverage carton bring bank service. Cheltenham-based Printwaste takes over the collection service for ACE UK’s bring banks across most of England, Scotland and Wales.

Cartons collected via the service will continue to be recycled at ACE UK’s carton recycling facility in Stainland, West Yorkshire and Printwaste will use the same bins and vehicles as before, so local authorities and other participating organisations will receive a smooth transition to the new contractor.

What is this work about?

Commenting on the contract award, Fay Dashper, Senior Recycling Manager at ACE UK said:

“We have been working with Printwaste on other areas of our business for nearly a decade and have built up an excellent working relationship with the company.

“When our existing contractor decided to discontinue this service, following changes to its core business model, Printwaste seemed like the obvious choice. We are very pleased to have them on board.”

In fact, ACE UK is so impressed with the service that Printwaste is delivering they have also been contracted to take over all of the Scottish bring bank collections.   They will now collect cartons from Orkney to Devon!

Geof Robins, Operations Director of Printwaste said the contract wins

“We were delighted to have been awarded these contracts. As a recycling-led waste management company already working with several local authorities the contract is a great fit for our business. ”

ACE UK has been running the beverage carton bring bank scheme since 2007, supporting Local Authorities and waste management companies across the UK
