Villa Dubrovnik | Croatia

It’s pretty arduous not to be enchanted by the sheer clarity of the Adriatic Sea and the history of Dubrovnik. It’s a perfect combination of a good dose of history with fantastic scenery. Unbeatable!

And staying in an award-winning hotel such as Villa Dubrovnik just doubled my expectations about this trip.

Recently renovated, Villa Dubrovnik is placed some minutes away from The Old Town. This boutique hotel features a fresh, modern, and minimalist design.

Its architecture highlights the natural beauty around in a captivating set surrounded by pine, orange, and lemon trees and gardens of bougainvillea. Just a taste of Dubrovnik hospitality!

The warm atmosphere is noticed right after stepping into the reception. The ambient is welcoming and homely. A very luxurious homely feeling, though.

The staff is very attentive. I got complimentary fruits, water, chocolate in my room, and impeccable service during my three days staying in the hotel.

And the views from the luxurious sea-front suites are breathtaking. So inspiring!

My room was on the 4th floor and despite being next to the reception, the privacy was pretty much preserved. No extra noise or disturbance during my trip.

I loved the personalised service provided at Villa Dubrovnik as well. Every single day you have newsletters or treating in the room. Simple things that make you feel special.

It’s also a spacious and cosy suite with a huge private balcony overlooking the Island of Lokrum and The old Town. Both are famous landmarks of this picturesque city.

The room has plenty of gadgets that would be expected for a luxurious suite. Including a recharging set for all kinds of devices. It is a pretty useful tool for journalists like me that carries laptops, mobile phone, and tablet during my trips.

The bathroom has options of a shower and a huge (deep) bathtub. Both tried and approved.  And having a glimpse of the sea from this bathroom is definitely a nice touch.

The room is flooded with natural lights in the morning too. Make the most of it!

Luxurious care products and a bathrobe with slippers, a safe, television, minibar, and a large desk are also included to offer more comfort and amenities to the guests.

But obviously, my favourite thing about this attractive room was its huge king bed. I honestly had the best nights of sleeping in life there. To fall asleep with the soundtrack of waves cropping into the sea during the night helped a lot as well.

Staying at Villa Dubrovnik was a delightful experience. And it has so much more to experiment with. It was a shame I didn’t have time to enjoy it more.

The Villa Spa, for example, has an indoor pool, sauna, steam bath, gym, and treatment rooms. A welcome treat after a long day sightseeing in the old town.

Both restaurants: Pjerin and Al Fresco Bistro Giardino present the best of Mediterranean cuisine.

It’s a true indulgence in the most sophisticated fine dining experience of Dubrovnik.

For a special holiday steeped in history, the hotel’s sommelier and chef offer the best option of Croatian wine to accompany your meal. We were truly spoiled at Villa Dubrovnik.

Another way of relaxing is enjoying some drinks in the bar placed in the lounge. It’s also a perfect time to have some chit-chat with the staff about the Dubrovnik and all things Villa Dubrovnik. Highly recommended.

Contemplate view from the Prosciutto & Wine Bar placed on the 5th floor. It’s definitely a perfect spot to have a special cocktail or a glass of wine while enjoying the sunset over this beautiful city.

The hotel also offers transfers from/to the airport. Besides the Vaporetto speedboat charter from/to the hotel to the old city, which is a must to do trip!

I made the most of my visit to this beautiful part of Croatia enjoying the comfort and outstanding service of Hotel Villa Dubrovnik. Hope you can do the same one day.

NB: I was a guest at Villa Dubrovnik during the three days in Croatia in May. It made my stay in Dubrovnik pretty outstanding.  You can read more about this amazing travelling experience here, here, and here.
